Google Toolbar Firefox-Plugin makes Firefox very slow!

I lately installed the new Google-Firefox-Toolbar Plugin and I have to say: It made my Firefox on Gentoo-Linux extremly slow. I regularly had to kill-off my Firefox and restart it. Since I deinstalled the Google-Firefox-Toolbar everything works at normal speed again! It seemed that Google was looging everything I do with my Firefox.
